Guernsey County Republican Club Offers $1,000.00 Scholarship

The Republican Club of Guernsey County announced today it is offering a $1,000.00 college scholarship contest. All Guernsey County high school seniors who wish to compete may apply who meet the following criteria:

Guernsey County high school senior (homeschooler, vocation school or any school districts)
Average GPA of 2.5 – verified
Application/ acceptance to any accredited college (four year or technical)
Completion/submission of application to be judged to include:
name, contact information
one teacher recommendation
list of high school activities/ organizations
list of community or church activities/organizations
Write essay ( no more than 1,000 words):
“Explain the driving forces that have made America the most exceptional society in history.”

Send all submissions to: peggychayden@gmail.com by the deadline: April 30, 2013.

The Scholarship Committee will announce the winner by May 10, 2013 and the winner agrees to be featured with an article and picture in the Daily Jeffersonian.

In less than 1,000 words, explain the driving forces that have made America the most exceptional, productive and wealthy society in history.

The winner of a $1000 Guernsey County GOP Scholarship will be announced by May 10, 2013.
