June 2022 Meeting Minutes

President Robert Morris called the meeting to order.
Representative Adam Holmes delivered the invocation.

President Morris led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Treasurer Discussion: General Fund $3,165.10, Scholarship Fund $4,395.18, Total $7,560.28.

Secretary Jennifer Johnson made the last meeting minutes of March 15, 2022 available prior to the meeting by e-mail; the minutes presented for approval. The motion was moved by Sandra Miller, seconded by Darrel Fawcett. The motion passed unanimously.

Central Committee:
Darrel Fawcett – Great Committee for Scholarship. Unfinished business – get out and Vote! Headquarters is located at 116 Southgate Parkway starting August 1st. Fundraiser for DeWine, Kennedy, and Fisher is July 27th. Hoping for a good turnout. Reagan Day Picnic is September 8th with speaker Frank LaRose.

Elected Officials:
Adam Holmes’ take on redistricting maps.
Board of Elections, Sandra Miller – prep for August 2nd Primary Election. Feona Nabisky – Get out the Vote!

Scholarship Meeting:
Scholarship winner: Adam Smith. He is going to OSU. He read his essay on allowing non-citizens to Vote.

Question to Adam: Did it help to have 3 subjects to choose from for the essay? Answer was “yes”

President Morris presented the clubs Plaque and check. Rep. Adam Holmes presented a Proclamation Citation.

Scholarship winner: Emily Wheeler read her essay on allowing non-citizens to Vote.

Other Meeting Notes:
• Discussion about supporting Cory Johnson’s Campaign with donation $500 was the amount.
• Robert Cooley presented Petition to get God Back in School.
• Al Warne with We the People Freedom Convoy – A group coming from the Trucker Convoy that passed though Guernsey County. Has 360 members and growing. It is an over-watch group, watching Local, State, Federal politics and the School System.
• Antonia Blake – SCC – is as Constitutional Conservative Talked about the Re-org of the SCC.
