December 2019 Meeting Minutes
Guernsey County Republican Club Monthly Minutes – December 17, 2019
President Robert Morris opened the meeting by welcoming all guest. Jack Marlin gave the invocation, and then Robert Morris led the pledge to the flag.
This being the club’s annual Christmas Party, a brief recess allowed members to enjoy dinner provided by Mr. Lee’s restaurant. During dinner the Chordial Chorus entertained the members by signing Christmas Carols.
The elected officials donated several items to the Chinese Auction for the Republican Club Scholarship Fund. The items were distributed to the winning ticket holders.
A motion was made by Lori Marlin and second by Lindsey Donahue-Angler to approve the minutes of the August 20, 2019, and October 20, 2019 meetings. Motion Carried.
The Treasurer’s report was available and filed for audit.
Robert Morris let everyone know that Rocky Hill and Jennifer Johnson have their petitions for everyone to sign.
Tim Schaffer filled in the members’ the members of what the Ohio Senate did in the final session for the year.
Adam Holmes thanked everyone for their support and wished the member’s Merry Christmas.
Craig Baldwin Thanked everyone for their support throughout the years.
Representative of U.S. Representative Bill Johnson asked for support and wished everyone Merry Christmas.
Joel Blue informed the members his office has moved to the new office on Wheeling Avenue. Joel wished everyone Merry Christmas.
Jack Marlin reminded the members that the luminaries on HalBar Drive and Avon Drive in Cambridge will start at 6:00p.m. on Christmas Eve. The luminaries have going on for 53 years.
The members donated toys to the Secret Santa program.
